Once a quarter, Eurowings awards the stations in the Eurowings network that stand out for their special performance in passenger and aircraft handling. Among other things, safety aspects, punctuality and customer feedback are taken into account.
Robert Strigl, Eurowings Base Manager in Graz, is thrilled: “It makes me incredibly proud and underlines on the one hand the outstanding performance of the entire operational team at the location and on the other hand that Eurowings is lived excellently in Graz.”
The award programme is aimed at stations that are regularly served with at least 20 flights throughout the year. A total of almost 40 European airports were included in the ranking. With Salzburg and Graz in first and second place, two Austrian airports lead the ranking.
“Just last May, Graz Airport became a Eurowings base, which brought with it many new challenges,” says Wolfgang Grimus, Managing Director of Graz Airport. “The fact that we have already been able to achieve such a top ranking in the Eurowings Station Award is thanks to our excellent operational team, which has taken on the additional new tasks with a lot of motivation and verve and mastered them perfectly.”
Eurowings offers a comprehensive programme from Graz Airport with direct flights to Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and numerous tourist destinations. Next winter, flights to the sunny destinations of Hurghada, Las Palmas and Tenerife will also be offered.
