Equal rights are a way of life at Holding Graz – and not just on International Women’s Day, which this Friday (8 March) once again draws attention to the different life situations of women around the world. This week, we are presenting our wide range of activities and offers relating to equal opportunities and the advancement of women and want to set an example.
“We treat each other with respect. We recognise the strengths of our employees and encourage initiative and a sense of responsibility. We recognise the skills of women and men, regardless of their gender roles. Further training, health awareness and equal opportunities at work are very important to us as a modern company. We create mutual trust through open communication and the exchange of information.” An extract from the mission statement of Holding Graz.
In recent years, Holding Graz has placed a special focus on promoting women – for example with the implementation of the women’s network meeting at Haus Graz or women’s mentoring. In addition, targeted projects are being promoted to sensitise managers and employees alike to the issue of family friendliness.
Women’s power in sponsoring too:
Since 2020, Holding Graz has stipulated the support of women’s teams with a dedicated amount in its sponsorship agreements with Graz sports clubs. The success of the partners in the areas of football, volleyball, handball and basketball shows that the commitment is worthwhile.
In its support for the local women’s teams, Holding Graz receives clearly defined advertising and consideration, as with all sponsoring partnerships. The sportswomen of the women’s teams of Sturm and GAK, UBI, HIB, UVC or the Graz Giants are important partners for promoting sales and increasing turnover in the company due to the many opportunities for targeted advertising and thematic integration of Holding Graz products – for example at matches and events. Players from the clubs act as testimonials and put the KlimaTicket, the Holding apps or the Graz voucher centre stage in the form of videos on social media or during interval prize draws at home matches.
