More than 4,000 waste paper baskets of Holding Graz are already available in the entire city area of Graz, so that Graz residents can also dispose of their waste on the go. 440 Holding Graz employees are on duty every day to ensure that the streets and paths as well as the parks and green spaces in Graz are clean, cleansed and free of waste around the clock.
Since last year, the Holding employees have been working in three shifts in the parks of Graz and at hotspots such as the Kaiser-Josef-Markt or the Lendplatz. Three-shift operation means: the employees are on duty in the morning from 4 a.m., at noon and in the evening from 10 p.m. onwards.
Now an additional 60 residual waste bins with a volume of 120 litres will be placed in the city park between the Passamtsamtswiese and Burgring/Schanzgraben.
The residual waste bins will be supplemented by 15 additional paper bins in the city park, where 280 paper bins are already installed. In the Sauraugasse/Passamtsamtswiese and at the Paulustor, Graz residents also have collection points for their waste. The bins are emptied by the employees of the city cleaning service.
